Zaeem is an international development and health professional with expertise in management, policy, quality and operations. He has extensive experience in humanitarian and development settings, having lived or worked in over 20 countries globally, primarily in South Asia, Middle East and East Africa regions, with organisations such as Save the Children, the International Rescue Committee, Médecins Sans Frontières, Malaria Consortium and the Aga Khan Foundation.
He is currently the Global Director for Medical Services at Save the Children providing strategic leadership and governance oversight on clinical and pharmacy services, risk management, regulatory compliance, and staff health and wellbeing globally.
Zaeem is a medical doctor with specialism in community medicine and public health, has studied health policy and management at Johns Hopkins, health economics at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, health security at Geneva Centre for Security Policy, and completed the Executive Leadership Programme at the Oxford University.
He is a board member at the British Refugee Council, an Associate Non-Executive Director at Norfolk Community Health & Care NHS Trust, member of the Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, member of the Global Child Health Taskforce, and fellow at the Royal Society of Public Health.
