As Managing Director at LH Capital, Inc. and Lyda Hill Philanthropies, Matt Crommett oversees a portfolio of nature and science investments and grants for Lyda Hill. In this role, Matt leads non- and for-profit efforts to protect and conserve nature through innovative opportunities that address land, water, and wildlife challenges, prevent and treat diseases through basic science discoveries and public health interventions, inspire girls to consider STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) careers through the IF/THEN initiative, and grow a biotechnology ecosystem in North Texas.

Prior to this role, Matthew served as deputy director of policy and programs at the George W. Bush Institute where he worked on issues spanning global health, economic growth, and veteran wellness. Before joining the Bush Institute, Matthew worked in the Executive Office at Goldman Sachs in New York, leading monitoring and evaluation for the $100 million 10,000 Women initiative, which invests in underserved women entrepreneurs in more than 20 countries.

Matthew received a Bachelor of Science degree in International Health from Georgetown University and a Master of Health Science degree in International Health with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Interventions from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He sits on advisory boards for the Water Foundation’s Water Table and Georgetown University’s School of Health.
