Kristin Tips
President, Mission Park Funeral Chapels, Cemeteries and Crematories
Kristin Tips is the President of Mission Park Funeral Chapels and President Elect of the Texas Biomedical Forum. Kristin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in management from The University of the Incarnate Word. She also attended real-estate school during her summer break and earned her real estate brokers license and went on to complete the Mortuary Science program at San Antonio College becoming a licensed funeral director. In addition to funeral operations, Tips is also responsible for the Fairmount Hotel, which plays an important role for Mission Park, providing comforting lodging for out of town friends and family attending a service. A San Antonio native, Tips was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott and confirmed by the Texas State Senate as Commissioner of the Texas Funeral Service Commission to oversee statewide activities.
Tips also serves as President Elect for the Texas Biomedical Forum, a nonprofit that for over 50 years has been focused on supporting Texas Biomedical Research Institute through community relations, volunteer services and fundraising.
