Daniel Thornton is a senior adviser at COVAX, the multilateral alliance which has been funding and distributing vaccines that protect against COVID-19 around the world. COVAX has provided more than 1.25bn vaccine doses to lower income countries so far. Daniel leads COVAX’s dose donation work, which has provided almost half of COVAX’s supply. Prior to working at COVAX, Daniel worked for Gavi, the alliance which funds immunization in lower income countries, and as a civil servant for the UK government.
